"This hotel is the perfect example of what it is not as being portrayed as! Photos look great, this place is a dump! Very dirty, spiders everywhere are hotel bed sheets still had hair from the previous guests take a look at the tub in the photo! Cost more money than this damn break chain with breakfast, there was no way we were going to eat that food with all the gnats flying all over the place Way over price this really isn't even worth an Indian $5 hotel. During our stay at the Savoy in Ooty, we were endlessly impressed with the level of service by all staff from the gardeners to the managers who were attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. Excellent Spacious Rooms with very good service and restaurant. Complementary breakfast is too good with many options. Hotel is close by Doddabetta peak and hence having own vehicle would be better as it is 9km from ooty railway station. otherwise be ready to shell out more for taxi request at travel desk. It is very lonely and peaceful place to be. We enjoyed staying here for 3 days and 2 nights. Stayed on 29 to 31 Mar 2013. Family with one 3 years kid.
