The Ellery

The Ellery

8/10 Good
"The staff was amazingly nice. The breakfast was basic but nice especially since I didn't expect it. It would be nicer to have a little variety but loved the jug of water and cookies and coffee during the day and evening. It has small but lovely outdoor areas to sit. Even a volleyball net. Even though it was a main road, it was quiet. What wasn't quiet was my neighbor who turned on terrible monotonous music at 10pm until 12mn. There is no one manning a desk from 8 until morning. Loud neighbors aren't an emergency so started using earbuds. The rooms are basic. No drawers for clothes; just a couple of hangers. The walls are thin; you hear everything. There're a lot of spackle and kind of warped engineered floors. Almost looks like it was starting to be renovated but don't think so. Lobbey/dining area is really nicely done. Showers are cheap plastic enclosures with material curtains. Watch out or water gets over. Fan was broken but actual split cooled nicely. Took a day to figure out there were plugs and USB in the radio. On the website it seemed to portray it as more high end then it is. It is a cheap 1970's looking building. But the location is great. Just doesn't have the charm of the historical area."
