"Attended Gaylord Texan for a conference. No complaints. Beautiful property with excellent service. The catered food from the hotel at the conference was also great. "

"No breakfast included, extra cost, waitress scolded me for getting coffee from eating area, deposit paid but only half returned back after parking fees pulled out and kept by Marriott we were not informed ahead of time, several kids running up and down halls kicking doors, called 3 times to let them know from 9 to 11 pm at night while sleeping. First time staying here will not stay ever again. Employees not helpful, no receipt at checkout even though I requested it, this place might be pretty in pictures but not a place to feel good staying at. Room was not clean very well, smelly, toilet backed up and filled over. No urgency there at all in case of fire save yourself but sleep on lower floors. That's what our experience was very sad."

"Check-in was easy and a breeze. However, the issues started once we made it to our room. We booked a King room through Hotels.com but when entering into our room I noticed it was a double room. I immediately went back downstairs and inquired (and showed my booking confirmation of a King) to the rep at the front, Liza/Liz?, and she advised that she saw that a change was made on the backend and my room was auto-changed by someone on Hotels.com end. When I expressed that I certainly didn't make the change and asked her if we could move to a King room, she advised that they were completely booked and had no other rooms available. I understood and went back upstairs and just accepted the fact that my husband and I would be sleeping on separate beds for the night... until... After trying to flush the toilet one time, it began to nearly overflow so we called the front desk asking for someone to come look at it. Not even 3 minutes after the call, they were magically able to just move us RIGHT NEXT DOOR into a King room."

"The hotel itself was nice. The area surrounding it left you feeling a bit uneasy. There are two buildings next to the hotel, where you drive next to to enter the property, that are abandoned and have graffiti on them. Although, there did seem to be some work possibly being done on them. The room was basic, but nice. Our toilet handle did come off but maintenance showed up and fixed it. The breakfast, while a nice thought, was the same everyday we were there for a week. No changes whatsoever. The staff were nice but front desk was not always available, not sure why. While nothing was seriously wrong with our stay, I'm not sure it would be my first choice for another visit. "
