Very large room with amazing view from the balcony overlooking acres of land and the lake. High ceilings and very spacious room. The bathroom was just as big equipped with a very large bath and large shower. The decor is amazing, the air-con was great, the rooms were very clean and the bed was so comfy. Great place. Stayed here for three nights in total. Food is really good with wide selection to suit all diets and tastes. Right on the beach and huge vanishing pool surround by lounges and the villas it's not overcrowded or on top of each other.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful gardens. Attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s spoiled us at the start of a 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. Our next hotel was a real let down after Ulagalla!!

From the time of arrival till departure we had nothing but a great experience. Friendly staff and excellent food with great choice. The chefs were happy to provide what we asked for and waiters served with a smile. Were sad to leave.

Very good

Badminton was good fun! Tree planting signage and labelling was very interesting and engaging. But the most amazing part was the Sri Lankan food. The Hoppers were phenomenal and the potato curry at breakfast sublime!

The hotel & grounds were wonderful. There was loads of wildlife, including mongeese, monitor lizzards, grey slender loris & a resident crocodile. The room, restaurant & swimming pool were all excellent. There were also plenty of places to sit & read outside the room eg a library area.

Stunning spot overlooking a lake where elephants have been every morning and evening of our stay (can’t see them that well in the evening!). Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the food they prepare , whether breakfast, or if you ask lunch or dinner, is extremely tasty and plentiful. We cancelled our plans and stayed an extra night it was that good. Cannot recommend enough.

Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting. In the middle of the forest, this is a hidden little gem, with lovely spacious clean rooms, exceptionally friendly staff, and a luxury lodge like feel! It was out of season, so the hotel was quite quiet, and we had the pool to ourselves. I imagine this is the perfect spa retreat in peak season!

This is a small and cosy hotel with all the necessary amenities (except aircon and pool). Just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We were alone in the hotel most of the time, but even when it fills up it will never feel anything like a beach resort. Really exceptional place.

We got a friendly greeting when we arrived and drinks brought to us on Reception. All staff are very friendly. The room was beautiful and very spacious. We had a junior suite and it was the best room I’ve ever stayed in. We were able to add room service and meals to our bill to pay by card when we checked out. There are ATM’s nearby if you want to get some cash. We gave tips at the end of our stay. It was helpful that the documentation from the hotel states that charges include a service charge...

Wonderful experience, friendly staff lovely hotel right next to the Indian Ocean.

On the first night we arrived around 11pm. The resort itself was empty and there were a number of bugs all over the floors and hallways leading to the rooms. We had asked for two single beds but our room had a double bed. The staff we’re very helpful and friendly in correcting our room. The room itself was very clean with minimal mosquitoes. The facilities were also very good. The next morning we had breakfast at the restaurant which contained a good variety of vegetarian food which I was...

The girl at reception gave us a brilliant welcome and showed us around explaining everything.

Nice owners. A bit pricey for what you get, but that's the area. An okay, safe hotel to see Kalpitiya.

The staff was amazing and made us feel so welcome during our two nights at Kay Jay wild. There is an entrance to wilpattu national park only 5 minutes drive away. The area where Kay jay wild is is just so beautiful

Nice, clean and comfortable place to stay, right next to the ancient city for Anuradhapura.
