"A solid choice in Anuradhapura that caters to tour groups, especially. Nice staff, clean and basic rooms, with nice little balconies, many of which overlook the terrific pool. Would recommend avoiding the meh dinner buffet and order off the menu instead. Well located, and staff made a great recommendation for local driver and guide."

"The Heritage is set in a fabulous location, in magnificent grounds on the edge of a lake, peaceful and comfortable. Yet in easy reach of the Sacred City. The staff were helpful and breakfasts superb."

"Great hotel in a beautiful location. We only stayed one night, but could have stayed longer. The pools looked fantastic and well cleaned. We had an excellent meal, and then played pool on the table next to the bar! The hotel is trying hard to be eco, and we had a very interesting bathroom surrounded by plants in the shower, and an open air roof - covered by mesh to stop anything nasty getting in! We watched a fantastic sunset whilst drinking cocktails. Very memorable. Staff were lovely."

"The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space! "

"It’s located in close proximity to all must visit places in Anuradhapura. We really enjoyed the lake view from our room too. Foods were amazing. I would highly recommend it for a very comfortable stay. "

I felt like my son and I were the only two guest and I honestly didn't like that. They kept calling asking if I wanted my room clean. "The first nights dinner was horrible cos we ordered the wrong stuff & lunch & breafsdt sandwiches were not so good. So the next day for breakfast we ordered Sri Lankan milk rice, string hoppers & Pol Rotti., chicken & fish curry, potato & dhal curry. It was absolutely super, excellent. The fruit was so good. It was to die for. The papaya especially."
