Good location for a first visit as you can walk to several places, but the area itself is very dirty with a strong smell of "NY". Traffic around the hotel, as expected, is really bad. So be ready to walk or take the subway, which is just a block away.

We love being close to the train station . This hotel is off the beaten path. We both love to walk and don’t mind. The staff is outstanding and very helpful. The rooms are clean , beds are comfortable and it is very quiet .

The property is nothing like advertised. They allow the people to hang out in the courtyard all day. The front lobby was full of people and luggage upon check in and 6 hours later it was still full of people and smelt of urine. The port authority is 2 blocks away and displaced people hang out in front of the hotel.

Great friendly staff and ideal location for exploring NYC. Air con worked very well and bathroom was very spacious. We were disappointed that the room was only made on 3 out of the 5 days we stayed. There is a fair bit of noise from the street but that is to be expected in one of NYCs busiest areas and it did not stop us from sleeping as eventually quiets down late at night.
