Shangri-La Colombo

"If I had to fly 19 hours again from NYC to Colombo, Shangri-La would still be my first choice of hotel to stay at. Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days before travelling to the south coast and I honestly wish I could have stayed at Shangri-La for an extra night. The service was impeccable. The hotel is very clean and modern. The room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay and even the room service menu did not disappoint. The hotel is attached to Galle Face Mall making for convenient and easy access to shopping, restaurants and things to do. The hotel is both lively and yet intimate. Its a 10/10. The staff makes it 100/10."

"This is a 4 star facility at best, 3.5 star is a firm rating. Good location in Colombo, helpful staff. hallway carpet needs to be cleaned, along with the bathroom shower and floor areas that was dirty with mold. Food availability was good, tried the breakfast buffet and it was acceptable. I don't think this facility sells alcohol beverages however, did not see a bar or alcohol listed in the menu. Linen and toiletries were good as well."

"This hotel is lovely with some good facilities and spa. I loved the massage which was at a very reasonable price. We had a sea view room. The room was a bit small but manageable. The shower and toilet are separate. There are some good places to eat nearby but we ate at the hotel via room service or at the restaurant."

"Excellent modern property! A delight to stay here….excellent views of the ocean too. And walking distance to almost everything. The drop off/ pick up arrangements are weird with multiple levels of lobbies but that is the architect’s fault….not the hotel’s. We will definitely be back"
