For family days on the beach, a week of golf with friends or exploring and playing in the town’s attractions, this South Carolina beach town is superb.

From white sands to Broadway to endless golf, enjoy all of Myrtle Beach’s myriad attractions. Myrtle Beach, the beach, stretches for 60 miles (100 kilometers) along the Atlantic Ocean. Play Frisbee and volleyball, sunbathe, make sandcastles and find sections with wheelchair accessibility.

Stroll along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk for shopping, attractions and views over the ocean. Take a flight in the SkyWheel enclosed gondolas and gaze out at hotels along the beach and Pier 14’s restaurant over the water.

South of the town center is Myrtle Beach State Park. Fish from the long Springmaid Pier, swim, watch for birds and bike or ride horseback on its trails. Camp overnight to gaze at the stars.

Broadway at the Beach is a 350-acre (140-hectare) complex of entertainment, shopping, dining, unique attractions and special events. See a tribute performance at Legends in Concert. The Palace Theatre Myrtle Beach features live entertainment from Broadway musicals to local holiday celebrations. Visit a comedy club or bars and nightclubs with live entertainment. Choose from dozens of cafés, restaurants and snack shops for varied food and drink.

Attractions at the Broadway center include mini-golf and ziplining over the lake. Play laser-tag, land a NASA space shuttle or ride a 360-degree virtual roller coaster at WonderWorks. Look for souvenirs and necessities at more than 70 retail shops. Watch the Myrtle Beach Pelicans play baseball.

Stretching from Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet to North Myrtle Beach are more than 100 golf courses. Plan a week of double-play days on fairways designed by great golf architects and never visit the same course. Alternatively, select a single golf and spa resort for an all-in-one experience of leisure and luxury.

Fly to the Myrtle Beach International Airport, just a 10-minute drive from the town center. Visit in March for the Myrtle Beach Marathon, May for Myrtle Beach Bike Week, June for Carolina Country Music Festival or throughout the year for other special events.
