"When we first arrived at the property in an old mining village, we thought, 'oh'. However, the small frontage gave way to a lovely bandb, beautifully and carefully decorated with a very cosy, welcoming feel. Steve and Lesley made us feel extremely welcome and Steve's cooked breakfast was delicious "

"Bertrams is a lovely place to stay in Warkworth. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in a dog friendly room which was at the front facing the road. The room was really hot due to the great weather but we were unable to have the window open during the night because of the noise from the busy road. We did however have a freestanding fan which was excellent and very much appreciated. Breakfasts are excellent and cooked fresh. Portions are huge! Would highly recommend staying at Bertram’s."
