Take the funicular railway up to medieval Montecatini Alto for panoramic views across Tuscany's rolling hills. The thermal baths in Montecatini Terme offer healing mineral waters where locals and visitors have relaxed since Roman times.
We have just returned from a five night stay at the hotel. We were delighted with the well run, comfortable hotel with superb staff. The room was well appointed with quality furnishings, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Rooms are cleaned every day, Free filtered cold water you can fill in glass bottles anytime which is very handy when its hot outside. Location is perfect if you want to travel to Pisa or Florence by train. Train station is less than 10 min walk. Many caffes and restaurants close by. 5 min walk to all the shops , amenities and places to see. Definitely recommend it.

Incredible facilities, rooms are cleaned really well, staff are always very attentive. To be able to access the grotta is a real highlight, it's an incredible place, much bigger than expected and the facilities are again outstanding. Spa had a lot of choice, the outdoor swimming pools were unexpected given we visited in December and it was never too busy, often it was just us. There are also lots of hiking options from just next to the property, starting from inside the hotel grounds.

We had a great 6 night stay at this hotel. The staff are the tops being happy and greeting. The room was first class spacious with period decor and a high ceiling. Our room overlooked the main town piazza which was lively and entertaining in the evening. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. I would and hopefully will stay here again.

The staff at Montebello were very kind and helpful. The hotel is in good shape and was undergoing some renovation works during the period in which we visited. Very clean hotel

Lovely hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast great. Location excellent , 5 mins walk to main train station. Rooms a bit tired and could do with redecorating.

Staff professional, fiendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast to suit all tastes. Excellent location for amenities. Montecatini is a lovely spa town with plenty of traditional restaurants, bars, spas, quality clothes shops and parks. Also an excellent location for visiting Florence, Lucca and Pisa.
