"We had an amazing stay at Villa Marta.Rooms were beautifully decorated,clean and spacious.Toiletries,etc were provided.The area is so quiet and we had a lovely sleep undisturbed by any noise .Breakfast was delicious,abundant and with many choices.Staff was brilliant-both ladies at reception and gentlemen at restaurant.My children loved checking the two resident cats Bianca and Nero a couple of times a day ☺️😂.Definitely will be back one day as everything was perfect!"

"The room was clean and bed comfortable. The rooms are somewhat modern without charm but I would still recommend. Short walk to the walled city of Lucca and free public parking right in front of the hotel so very convenient. Breakfast was adequate with excellent made to order coffee. Good value 3 stars hotel. "

"Room was run down and the breakfast was included in the past but not now. Staff said that the name change and rebranding was meant to attract business people but there were no working outlets in the room and no usb or other charging outlets apart from one socket in the bathroom. Very inconvenient. The place was much nicer to stay at in the past 15 years but has been let down by its owners sadly. "

"My daughter and I just walked in the door from a 2 week European vacation and it's unanimous that this was our favorite stay our entire trip. The hotel has a lovely old world Italian charm and the room was surprisingly roomy given the other hotels we visited. What really made it special was the staff. The breakfast was the nicest we encountered during our trip with the best pistachio croissants that we tried to replicate throughout our trip but were unsuccessful. The family-run hotel even made some special moments on Easter with the guests that really made it feel like you were staying with family. Loved Lucca and would 10000% come back to Hotel Alexander on our next stay!!!"
