Generally positive, but somewhat dated finishes particularly in the bathroom, and no separate shower stall plus a narrow tub, so showering was not a very pleasant experience.
We asked for a soft pillow, which a hotel like that ought to be able to provide, however the one they gave us was the same as the others - firm and thick. Difficult to get a good night's rest if you sleep on your stomach.
As a very tiny comment, there's really no reason for the staff to be told they must greet guests with 'bon jour'. We know we're in Australia, and there's virtually nothing else about the hotel that seems French. Not trying to be picky, it's just a bit silly.
We would stay at this hotel again, but we'd bring our own pillows!
