They advertise parking but when you get there they share parking with private car park. If you didn’t know and didn’t prebook a spot you won’t find one and will have to park elsewhere. Staff was lovely but that is ridiculous and cost me lot of money in another carpark to park for a day.
Only negative was the restaurant ( separate but attached) menu not to my liking, Chios arrived before meal, & vegetables were spiced ( even though I’d rejected ordering other dishes because they were described as spicy.)
The service was fantastic and the property nice and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful

Good value for the location, property is getting old and slightly shabby if you look closely but for the location and cost it is fine. Room was clean, rooftop pool was warm, corridor was noisy but it settled down after 10PM. Took 5 days for my $100 bond to be returned to my credit card by their bank which was annoying, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
Would definitely consider booking again, especially for convenient access to theatres if seeing a show.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. The parking was not as advertised. The advertised on site parking was very limited and right..and the valet parking was never going to happen as the Parking staff were rude and unhelpful..we endes up sourcing better and slightly cheaper parking at a Wilson parking garage 54 meters away ourselves
2nd time at the HGC. We booked a King Prem room & loved the extra space and view. We didn't use the dining or bar facilities this trip so couldn't really rate them. We'd be very happy to stay here again when next in Melbourne. Dean & Michelle.
