An excellent choice of good quality food for breakfast. Room and bed kept in a good state of cleanliness for the week we stayed.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff

Quick and easy check-in with polite staff. Room was big and clean. Evening snacks and breakfast were included in the rate; food was good.

Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I had a trip to New York for our big birthdays, hotel was very central close to port authority, walking distance to time square and many other areas. Hotel staff made our visit special for us and are very helpful , friendly , professional and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would avoid 9th Avenue at night time as it didn’t feel very safe .

Cozy hotel, nice styling, great rooftop bar, comfy big bed. Amazing location. Would stay again. Very small rooms, so not for all people. Rooftop bar had different (less) opening hours than advertised.

Rooms spotless. Lots of breakfast places near. Carnegie cafe diner near for breakfast. Central Park walkable distance. Moma near by. Broadway walking distance.

Nice hotel. Good location for Mid town. The resort fee is ridiculous & just an extra charge disguised. Room was nice & the hotel took into account my requests. Staff very nice. Breakfast fine

If I wrote about just how good this hotel is I'd need a lot more characters and you'd think they were paying me. I've stayed in many hotels, a considerable number having more stars than the Luma, but never have I experienced somewhere I cannot fault in any respect. The room was equipped with absolutely everything you could need (8 power sockets and 16 usb ports, 4 of each on both sides of the bed?!) it was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom spotless and there was a turndown service...

It’s not often that I give reviews on the numerous hotels I stay in/have stayed in but I was compelled to write one for this amazing, wonder and fabulous hotel that ticked all the boxes.
