Great location. I always felt safe. Staff was nice. Only thing I would change is the rooms are too small and they need an elevator. Other than that. It's great

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel is in a great location. This was the main reason we chose it. The rooms were very small as well as the bathrooms. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast is included. It was only accessible by a narrow staircase though. One of the rooms had a sewer smell most every day we were there. This is an honest review. It felt very safe so for that reason I’d chose it again.

Disliked: Amenities
The location is totally great but some "cellar-like" rooms overseeing tech space are atrocious and should be offered with a huge discount, if any. Plus the wifi signal is super weak.
What happened regarding the sewerage was a nightmare, fortunately, the staff changed our room the next night as it smelled nasty. utterly close to Paddington station (tube and rail)
The property is very tired and the fixtures and fittings in need of a major upgrade. I paid ludicrous $$ for 2 nights on Jan 1 and 2nD. It feels like a youth hostel. The saving grace is that the beds were comfortable and clean. The location right next to Paddington Station is excellent. The staff was friendly and competent.
This was my second stay in Shakespeare Hotel. I like it because I find the staff very warm and I feel comfortable. The hotel is centrally located and I can get access to bus or tube very easily. The Paddington Station just a minute away. There are hosts of convenience stores and restaurants for all the supplies and food one might need.
