Small rooms. Friendly, helpful (with directions and restaurant suggestions) staff. There were no USB ports to charge our phones, but the front desk lent us an adapter.

There is no AC and although they provided a 10" fan, it wasn't enough to cool down a room on the 4th floor. Slowest elevator in London :). Not a full English breakfast just bacon, egg, beans, toast, and tomato.

The location was great for us. It is near Paddington Station, good restaurants and Hyde Park. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.

We adored staying here with our entire family. The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotels history and charm made for an amazing stay. The breakfast and service downstairs was wonderful as well. It was a very convenient place to stay for most every walkable site and central to much of the public transportation for anything in London. We can’t wait to stay there again!

Highly recommend!! The Mitre House is in the perfect location. The Paddington station is just a few min walk. You are also only a few mins from Hyde park, small shops wonderful restaurants and 24/7 convenience stores. There is a bar right in the hotel as well. We had a typical English breakfast each morning. The rooms are clean. The staff are so accommodating and helpful. We had the most wonderful time. We will be back.

The hotel staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean, spotless in fact, perhaps a little old fashioned with 70's decor but it was fine for us as we didn't spend much time in it. The location was great for us as it was only a 10/15 min walk to Hyde Park.

We wanted to experience a ‘traditional’ English Inn rather than a chain hotel that we can stay in anywhere. It was within 2 blocks, approx 5 walk from Paddington Station (and an easy train ride from there to airport on Heathrow Express train) The property was quaint & traditional. We chose a family suite which is a room with a double bed, it had the toilet & shower room and then an adjoining room with twin beds. It was a lovely experience and I’m glad we stayed there. North Americans be aware there is no air conditioning but the windows open (no screens) and a fan in each room. This is an older property, but is well taken care of by kind and helpful staff. We stayed in the family room for 3 nights. It has a very unique layout. Great set up for older kids/teens. Two separate rooms connected by a small hallway, and a shared bathroom accessible through another private hallway off the adult room. The bathtub is elevated, so ai would not recommend this room for those with any mobility issues. Everything was very clean. Its a charming hotel on a quiet, beautiful street and neighborhood. So close to Paddington Station. Loved that after a long flight. The breakfast included was basic, but did the job. Staff were all so nice. I'd return. The weather wasn’t hot, even though it was summer, so the room temp was fine. We had windows open dueing day and my kids slept with the room fan they provide.

The staff was absolutely amazing. They where attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. No matter what questions we had or what we needed assistance with, they were always happy to assist. We loved the central location to Paddington station, parks and dining options. The on-site bar was a great place to relax after a long day of enjoying London. We will defiantly stay again!
