"We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.
We would stay again

"A lovely country house hotel. Our room was very spacious with an outside patio where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine. The bathroom was large with a bath and a shower. We ate in the “Tasting Room” and very much enjoyed the tasting menu. The area outside the hotel has pleasant area with tables and chairs which we enjoyed as it was a warm sunny day. The hotel is quite expensive, but we thought it worth the money. The spa was OK, small and a little tired but we enjoyed our swim in the pool....
"The dining room and food was excellent with service to match.
Rooms are extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated with every facility you could ask for. All staff were polite and attentive. "
"Very cute and well maintained Restaurant and pub with rooms upstairs.
Had an exceptionally good dinner at the restaurant and the breakfast was also very good.
I recommended highly.

"Perfect for a mid journey pit stop, staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom could do with a bit of a refurb but otherwise clean. We would definitely stay again."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester. Every staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. The rooms were incredibly comfortable—uniquely decorated, clean, and a perfect place to relax.
The recently remodeled rooftop bar and dining area was a real highlight. The food was delicious, the cocktails were creative and refreshing, and the atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind.
The hotel also provided us with a walking guide of the city, which turned out to be the perfect way to explore Cirencester’s charming streets and historical spots at our own pace.
We will definitely be returning. Well done to the whole team at the Kings Head!"
"A lovely place in a lovely setting. Checking in was very quick with staff being attentive, pleasant and professional. The only niggle was…The weather was very warm and when we first arrived in the room all windows were closed. It heat in the room was unbearable. There was a floor standing fan which we put on straight away. There was also no fridge in the room. I appreciate that other upgrade rooms had a fridge, but I thought nowadays all hotels had at least a fridge for water and other drinks. A small thing that could be sorted as there was more than enough space in the room to put one. It doesn’t take away the experience we had in staying at this hotel and would return."
"Got a great quick check from friendly staff on reception. Was in a room on 4th floor it was very clean with tea and coffee the bathroom was also very clean.Very comfy bed great shower.Had food in the restaurant food was very good with great service.Had breakfast both days breakfast buffet was great .All in all a great stay will use again. We were visiting the Air Show for weekend."
"From the off, when the receptionist greeted us so warmly, we had a perfect stay. Wish we'd dined in, but hope to be back and do that another time. Breakfast and waiting staff were excellent."
