If you are a snow bunny or love the exhilaration of taking the slopes with absolute abandon, Canada has what you are looking for at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.
The number of visitors to Lake Louise has increased by 30% in the last 10 years. It was unbearable really until we started on hikes to get away from the crowds. It is disappointing that the best view of the lake is almost impossible to enjoy now.

If you've not visited Lake Louise recently, be aware of needing to get a bus in due to very limited and expensive parking at the Lake.

A prime tourist spot, lake louise was the reason for our visit and we selected the Lake Louise Inn as our accommodations. Lake Louise did not disappoint with it's glacial turquoist water. It was so beautiful!

Beautiful spot that has become something of a tourist trap. The lake was crowded with a park and ride shuttle service in place to limit private vehicle parking near the lake.

Lake Louise is gorgeous!! The main area around the lake is crowded, but once you get past the fray, it opens up and you can get great views on the hiking trails.

Lake Louise was packed. We much preferred Lake Moraine with slight less tourists. The town of Lake Louise was walkable and clean.

I tend to avoid Lake Louise itself due to how crowded it gets nowadays. I do love driving the Bow Valley Parkway though.
