"It’s easy to miss as you’re driving down a busy 4 lane divided road. A larger sign would be helpful. An automatic door at the entrance would be fantastic as I tripped on the rug and fell upon arrival to check in. I had a medium sized wheeled bag that got hung up on the door and fighting to get the door back open to get my luggage in and a corner of the entry rug was curled up, it was a recipe for disaster. An automatic door would have most definitely prevented that. I was ok, a decent size rug burn on my knee and elbow, but ok. Another guest (young man) came to aide and helped resolve the tangle my luggage and the door were in. The desk attendant offered to upgrade my room. I declined, as I wasn’t injured badly (just my ego). However, he upgraded my room none the less. I’m in my mid 50’s and luckily in good health and very active. An older or less healthy/active person may not have faired so well. Beware of the door if you’re traveling solo. Once I was in and settled - all went well the rest of my stay."

"Breakfast and bar were very nice front desk guy, not so nice. Wife had bite from there beds and he threatened to kick us out like it was our fault they have bugs! Then told us we can’t have any visitors that we can sit with our parents in the lobby! Like I’m a little kid. Never have I heard you can’t have guests in a hotel. Furthermore I never had a guest. Very disrespectful. Then I cleaned my room after I got home from work and set the dirty shower towels and 3 little grocery bags with garbage. They had the nerve to call my room wake up my wife to tell her we can’t put garbage outside of our room. Every hotel I’ve ever been to that’s what you do to get you garbage picked up especially when they don’t offer to clean your room you have to ask 24hrs in advance. Absolutely horrible staff, disrespectful, rude, and nosy. The guy follows you around like a little kid to make sure you don’t have a guest. Very weird!"

"The Stella Hotel & Ballroom We had such a fun stay at The Stella Hotel—this place is absolutely adorable. The design is beautiful inside and out, with a charm that makes it feel both cozy and elevated at the same time. It’s in a great spot too—just one block from the downtown trolley, which is such a simple and fun way to get around for just a dollar. One of the highlights was definitely the restaurant. If you’re there on a Friday in April, don’t skip the fish menu—it was incredible. And if you’re on the hunt for a good poutine, they’ve got that covered too. Our only hiccup (and honestly, it gave us a little laugh later) was that our group ran out of toilet paper during our stay. Not ideal, especially with a full group of women—but everything else about the experience really was wonderful. Overall, such a charming place with great food, a perfect location, and a vibe that makes you want to come back."

"This is normally our favorite hotel in the area, Fairfield is the best chain IMO...this time we were disappointed. There was some sort of baseball event going on, the place was crowded with teenagers. It was very noisy. Parents were loud too. Kids running the halls at night, left garbage in the breakfast area. Our lock on our door didn't work so they switched our room. We didn't realize the lock didn't work until we went to go out to eat, already had showered and unpacked but they gave us a different room. Staff was helpful."

"Room was not cleaned and when we asked for it to be cleaned they made the bed only. Didn’t restock any paper products and floors sticky and never swept. When you book your room, they don’t honor your room selection. Cannot believe this is “W” owned. Do not recommend this place for a stay. "
