I paid fifteen bucks (220 TL) on Expedia for a single occupancy room. The room was small but clean and comfortable with one twin bed. The water in the bathroom gets hot and the heater works (it is still winter here). The staff is friendly and helpful. There is one young lady that helps checking in the guests and also helps out in the breakfast room. She should be paid double. The breakfast spread was a wonderful surprise. They had omelettes and boiled eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, olives and cheeses and pastries and fruits in addition to the usual bread and cereal of a regular complimentary breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance of the Kemeralti bazaar, the Konak waterfront, the hip Alcansak neighborhood, the Kulturpark, the Basmane train station and the Agora ruins. It is also a block away from the Cankaya metro station and the Gazi boulevard tram stop if you want to reach the other parts of Izmir.
