It is not only a very beautiful traditional Machiya (japanese style wooden house) but also offered a very friendly experience all around. The staff which is there the majority of the day is always very helpful and have given us plenty of tips for our Kyoto itenary. We'd rather have a large inexpensive room than a small room with cleaning. 5min. walk to a convenience store. Train stations are within 10min. radius. Loved it."
