"The grounds are kept very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly, from check in to the housekeeping! The pool area was beautiful. We enjoyed renting dvds and the kitchen area was well stocked. I do advise to bring your own throw blankets so when your lounging on the couch you can be a bit more comfortable, but other then that it was close to everything! "

"Being February, had excellent winter rates. We did not use the pool nor restaurant. However, when looking at a menu, I was pleasantly surprise that prices were very reasonable. We did have one problem. On our first morning, we foud out that the GFI outlets in the bathrooms did not work. That was reported to Guest Services and in about 20-30 minutes, help arrived. They said a circuit breaker was tripped. On the 2nd morning, the GFI outlets still did not work. We could not find a tripped circuit breaker. On check out, we reported the situstion again. We will be back to Williamsburg later in the year and intend to stay there again if we can find favorable rates."

"Air conditioner good. Bed creaked so badly we had to put the mattress on the floor to sleep. Flood lights shone through windows with difficulty drawing curtains and blinds inoperable. Bath clean and supplied. Furniture worn and needs repair. Hair dryer very old and weak. Noise from below invaded. Nice try for history but not worth the price. "

"1) Dodgy area. not sure I would walk the area at night. View from my room looked out on a graffiti covered building across a parking lot. Be prepared for ambulances and sirens blasting at least 2 or 3 times during the night. 2) rooms are all different, but my room was...less than optimal. The bed was was 9 feet from the door which opened directly into the main part of the room When I lay on my side, bright lights from the hallway shone through the cracks between the door and the frame. It was like staring at bright night light. It's always better when the door does not open directly into the main room, which shields the occupant from light and noise. 3) I did not care for the mattress. I am not a fan of memory foam, even it is only a topper. It's very hot to sleep on. Between the light from the door and the uncomfortable mattress, I did not have a good night's rest. 4) The hotel shuttle does not run often enough. We attended an event at the train station, and when we called the hotel for a pickup, they said they could not be there for an hour. We called an uber instead; I think the room was over-priced. I've stayed in nicer hotels for less. The lobby is impressive, but one doesn't sleep in the lobby. I probably would have given the experience 3 stars instead of 2 if the price were more reasonable. "The hotel offers breakfast, but today they did not have hot food simply because the container that keeps the food warm was not working. I wonder how a hotel could not have other alternatives for theirs guests."

"Room was fine however our neighbor had 2 barking dogs at all hours. I had to go outside at 11:30pm and shout outside their door to shut those dogs up and I was not the only person standing outside because of this. I will never stay at a dog friendly place again. BTW we have a dog, we like dogs. Hotel has no way to enforce what they call quiet time. Room was nice - clean, handicapped bathroom, mic and frig. a/c. We left a day early due to noise at night and barking dogs. Never again with Motel 6 pet friendly! "
