"Great location and friendly staff"

"I needed a hotel in this area for two nights after returning from Korea. Perfect site for the job. Excellent location. Easy to get around. Great diners and coffee shops close by--including right next door! The room was clean and servicable. I wasn't going to spend much time in the room but it was clean and comfortable. If you're going to SF for a long stay and you're traveling w/ somebody, this might not be the best call. But if you want to be in a greate neighborhood and enjoy walking (Fairmont Hotel is ten minutes away as is Unions Square;the MOMA is also an easy walk) this is a cool place to stay."

"The building is outdated. The rooms were clean and staff was excellent however the bathrooms, curtains, and hallways could use an update. The hotel does not offer free parking and does not have a restaurant or bar connected. The area is rough, i was unaware of what the locals call the "TL" high crime rate and homeless issue. Overall, i would not select this hotel again."

"It was a decent hotel for the price. Room was above average. Bed was comfy. The area is a bit sketchy but it's not hotel's problem. During the day it's pretty good."

"Hotel was very clean. Ernesto at the front desk provided a complimentary early check in courtesy of my birthday. Hotel staff, valet, bellhop, and restaurant bar staff I interacted with were all wonderful. The only thing I did not like was that I did not receive my bill via email despite following up. In addition, they did not honor the $25 food credit so that was definitely misleading. Otherwise overall stay was great!"

"I thought this was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. I got a double bed room instead of a single king which wasn’t the issue but this hotel room is appalling and hasn’t been updated since the 70s. It felt more like a cheap one room apartment. The bed was a nightmare. Thin like paper sheets, dirty comforters, freezing, seedy guests, dusty floors. I was absolutely terrified during my entire stay. I will avoid this hotel anytime I’m in San Francisco. An absolute nightmare. It’s more like a seedy motel."
