My very first day, the maid stole from me, opened/ate my food, rooted through my suitcase, rooted through my makeup, dumped my baseball jerseys on the floor. I felt so utterly violated. When I immediately called the manager they came to my room to look at things and take notes. They said they would comp my entire 5 night stay. This was a lie. They did not comp any of my nights stay. They did absolutely nothing to make this right other than feeding me a line. Because of this, I had my do not disturb on the door the rest of my stay and I had to ask for clean towels. I was really under the impression they cared and would actually follow through and do something like they said by refunding me my stay but they did nothing. The manager didn’t even follow up with me throughout my stay. Needless to say, I’d never stay there again. Very disappointed.

I have stayed here before the new owners took over. The beauty and charm of the place has been erased. Gray/white walls have covered over the gorgeous murals/trompe l'oeil and artwork has been removed. No beverage (coffee/tea) maker provided in rooms. Television cable was disconnected

Kinda hard to find but very clean, helpful staff and everything. Sometimes room service doesn’t always come by, even when asked. A little inconvenient but the staff fixed the situation right away.

I was a bit annoyed that coffee was only available at 7am or later. Front desk said, “There’s a Starbucks down the street.” Sometimes I don’t want to be presentable enough to go outside haha!

Overall, our stay at the hotel for 4 nights were great. Quiet, clean and staff were very professional and kind. Our flight got cancelled on our check out day so we booked an extra day and glad we stayed at the same hotel. Thanks for your great service!

The hotel was great and super close to the BART if you are traveling from the airport. The staff at the Marker are fabulous and so very friendly. The neighbourhood is a bit scary but I didn't feel unsafe.
