"Incredibly rude check in. Young kid in glasses with the absolute polar opposite of hospitality in the hospitality industry. The last time I was here, my 2nd floor room’s window was right above a smoking area. Cigarette smoke was coming directly into my wall ac unit (you could see it). It was disgusting. I went down to ask the same kid to move rooms (this was literally an hour after I had just checked in). He said “Maybe we can just ask them not to smoke there.”. Genius lol. Let’s tell the other guests not to smoke in the smoking area. And also, when we tell those guests, it’ll solve the problem - because certainly all other guests would also get that memo. This hotel is old, gross, and ran by moronic rude family. Stay away."

"Clean, convenient, great price. Great little free breakfast from 6:39 to 9:30. Remember to call the hotel when your flight arrives to get them to send the shuttle. Bed was comfy! But the elevators were broken so I had to lug my suitcase up two flights of stairs. The room’s drapes are fake so the bright parking lot floodlight shone through the window a bit all night. You can hear some road noise and I think a smoke alarm battery was beeping periodically. Ruby Tuesdays is next door but otherwise not much in safe walking distance. Despite the little things, would definitely recommend overall."

"Room was not clean, bed had large chunk of visible human hair on it and the bathroom sink had hair in it as well. I had to check out that night without laying on the bed. Bad experience. Told the staff at the reception and the situation was not addressed. "

"I had a great stay at Hyatt Place Knoxville Downtown. The location is a major highlight—within close proximity to excellent restaurants and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus, making it very convenient whether you're visiting for business, a game, or just exploring the area. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and everything ran smoothly overall. The only minor drawbacks were that breakfast closes at 9:00 AM during the week, which felt a bit early, and I had some difficulty getting the room temperature exactly where I wanted it. Aside from those small issues, it was a very positive experience, and I’d definitely stay here again."

"My stay was only one night due to my schedule and that I wanted to try this hotel for future visits. The staff were all wonderful, and the room exactly as shown, with comfortable beds and very nice bath accoutrements. It was good to see that the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in handy dispensers in the shower, rather than having little plastic bottles. So, both easier and more eco-friendly. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options."
