Wonderful place. The service was the best we’ve experienced in the Gulf/M.E, Omani guides were so welcoming and knowledgable (great to see local people/economy supported). The hotel was a great experience we had as a family by having two deluxe rooms...it could have been better if the rooms can be connected. The main highlight was how you found an Omani nationals working in every part of the services in that corner of the world were foreigners do most of the work. We enjoyed our time there...tiny minor things didn't effect our stay..

After 12 nights here and as a 40+ yr old Solo western female I can honestly say that this hotel and irs super staff could not hace done anything more to make me feel comfortable and extremely welcome. W Hotels offers in house events and a music / design aesthetic which was so pleasing making staff feel great to be working there. Excellent all round. The Somerset is located above the Panorama mall and is easily accessed directly from the mall or from the basement carpark. Plenty of free parking in the basement and main open air car park. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that had one king size bed with an ensuite bathroom, a second twin bedroom, a communal shower room, living/dining room with an open plan kitchenette (with washing machine/dryer). Everything about this hotel exceeds expectations. The staff are extremely attentive, kind and helpful in every part if the hoteL. I can’t praise them enough. The hotel was hard to find and a lot of the taxi drivers didn't want to go so far but it was worth the trip. It truly is somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle.

Staying at Al Fanar is one of the best experiences in life. I went there with my wife, & we enjoyed each second of our trip. 1st; the hospitality is beyond expectations. The staff is very kind. Stayed for a week here with my sister and the hotel staff were all so friendly and professional. We had a great experience. We ordered a lot of room service and the food was pretty good for a good price. The spa, swimming pool and sun deck was amazing as well. The only thing is that wifi was not strong enough to connect any other video calls except for Skype (on VPN, no FaceTime or Snapchat).
