"The property is in a lovely area and next to the Opera House. The beach is a public beach and it would have been nice if you could use the beach a bit more i.e. with sunbeds etc. The staff are really lovely and cannot do enough for you. The housekeeping in the room was a little hit and miss, but always clean. A good selection of restaurants and also within easy walking distance of a small mall with coffee shops and outside restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel."

"We had long weekend getaway as a couple and booked the beachfront villas. The villa is very spacious with a beautiful private pool and beach access. Breakfast was phenomonal. We prefered to stay in our villa most of the time but there were plenty of activities for the ones who want to be more active. Nice local and international dining options. The bay is private for Six senses and has a beautiful sunrise!"

"Background music constantly playing everywhere, becomes annoying in such a spectacular location, guests don’t need it! Sure, at certain times is nice, not all the time. Otherwise, cannot fault this newish hotel with 5 star amenities, service, food- can be pricey but bearable. Would return if visiting Oman again. "

"Staying at Al Fanar is one of the best experiences in life. I went there with my wife, & we enjoyed each second of our trip. 1st; the hospitality is beyond expectations. The staff is very kind. I would like to personally Thank Mr. Hussein Al Ma'ashani for his extreme kindness and hospitality. They even offered complimentary coffee & fruit platter.
