Beautiful setting, very remote and high altitude. Weather was so much cooler than the south . Long trousers and Jumper recommended for evening and morning. Rain coat f you are doing hikes . We had a super time here , staff were outstanding and the level of detail was perfect. Hot water bottle in bed at night was so welcoming. Two nights to chill. Full board , all drinks , snacks all great with a lovely afternoon tea by the infinity pool.

Worth it for the pool alone. Lovely staff. Good food. Its a trip to get there and only with good weather for the roads but once there its like the garden of eden with a banging infinity pool and views over sri lanka

First of all, congratulations and well done to all the Fox resort Kandy. If you want to stay at a truly beautiful and pristine hotel in Kandy then Fox resort will certainly fit the bill. Perched on top of Richmond hill about 10 - 15 mins or so Tuk Tuk / taxi ride from hustle of the city (we paid between 600 - 800 LKR for most journeys in and out of the city). The location of the hotel is incomparable. We loved the opportunity to stay in an historic building which has been lovingly restored. We were incredibly well looked after by everyone who works at the hotel and highly recommend this accommodation and the delicious food we ate.

This is a classy place - great facilities and an outstanding buffet dinner and breakfast. Pool a real treat. Don't use their taxis get local knowledge - much cheaper.

We stayed at the Madulkelle Tea and Eco Lodge for two nights. We had a fantastic time celebrating Christmas here in this incredibly beautiful place. Pictures truly do not do it justice. The food was amazing and the facilities are just gorgeous. We loved our little ‘tent’ that was tucked away on the side of the mountain. Our only complaint the entire time was that we asked for two glasses of champagne to be sent to our room and instead we received a glass of something that was definitely not...

Stylish room, lovely rooftop bar and pool, great food, helpful staff

The room was excellent clean and tidy, but our room was just above the dining/ restaurant area they had loud music on from 7am which woke us up, the location is super with great views, we wanted to try catch of the day (fish) meal. Waiter told us it will take 25min but took an hour, but wasn't sure if it was fresh or frozen, lovely staff, and good location with great views.

We stayed for three nights in December. Apart from the fact that the rooms are amazing (we could have had a party for 30 in our room), the thing that really made it for us was the attitude of the staff. They were attentive and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Do try to fit in a tour of the tea plantations and waterfalls. The scenery will blow your mind!

+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. Stayed here for 1 night but it was absolutely delightful! The staff was very hospitable, the amenities were great, loation of the hotel relative to the scenic view was fantastic, breakfast was amazing (with so much variety), room was decent sized and clean too. Got upgraded so appreciate that very much. Gave us nothing to complain about. 10/10 and would highly recommend.
