It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Beautiful property. Well maintained. Appreciated the nature walk and yoga sessions. The thermal pool was great. However very poor value for money. The Sri Lankan food was bland and the food left much to be desired for. Although the food was well presented the flavours were lacking. No menus options, very limited juice options, most things are chargeable. Nothing was really offered. Staff responded to requests but had to ask for everything. Was disappointed.

This place is really a special retreat. The Chef is excellent ! The Spa unfortunately is breathe-takingly expensive. And virtually of the activities that you go to a retreat like that for are extortionate.. it is a shame as it is truly a unique location

Didn't use tge Spa. An odd gesture is the toilette without a door and shower with clear glass door. That was quite an awkward surprise which made my family very uncomfortable.

I found the acoustics pretty poor, the staff very friendly and well trained, what little food I had was quite nice. The location was a little more remote than I bargsained for, so not a criticisim but we aware. It peaceful and excpetionally minimalist and purposefully designed that way for the ayurvidic guests but not my vibe.

We selected this property because of its treatments. When we arrived they mentioned they were just available for the guests that had booked a package. This was shattering for us and very disappointing. The rest of our statly, food and staff was faboulous.

Heaven!

Beautiful peaceful resort. You can spend a day doing yoga, going to the Spa , lounge by the pool while enjoying the beautiful mountain views or you can also venture out in one of the many excursions they can organize for you!

Amazing boutique resort, great food and excellent service. Spent new year’s eve and the hotel hosted a bonfire and an amazing celebratory dinner. Perfect place if you’re looking to relax, do yoga and enjoy the quiet area.

Good hotel, but different

The hotel concept is very nice, and fits to honeymoon vacation. The food was great, the best food I eat in Sri Lanka, the chef, and the restaurant team where helpful, and fit themself to us. The uncomfortable thing is that there is no a/c system in the room, and it’s really hard to sleep with the bugs and mosquitoes that gets into the room. Although it’s hotel that promote wellness, choosing a/c should be the customer choose. Thanks for the all Santani team, made wonderful job.

I loved everything--EVERYTHING--about my stay. The service was outstanding, the view was amazing, and the food was delicious. The staff bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable and happy. I had some spa treatments, which were fabulous, and the morning and evening yoga sessions were enjoyable, too. The design of the hotel is incredible. It's simple and unpretentious but elegant. Design-wise, it's one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. I can't wait to return.

The whole experience at this hotel is unbelievable! From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty. A cold towel is given to you upon arrival. Then you are given tea while you wait a moment to talk to the chef about your personalized meals. Yoga, spa services and hiking are readily available. The rooms are amazing and the views are priceless! Worth every dollar. Looking to return soon.

Good check in experience. The Staffs ask your preference for dinner, lunch, breakfast and the check out time, they also show you around before go to the room. The room is clean, and with fresh air.

This place is truly a miracle. The resort is an integral part of the nature on the top of the hill. The air, the sound of the nature makes it an ideal place to stay for 1 day or for a year. You can't get enough of it. It is a real treasure.

The hotel is a stunning space. The manager is clearly very hands on and staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent as well. The yoga teacher is very experienced and attentive. It’s rare to find so many things be up to such a good standard in one hotel. I must say the punctuality and service at the spa was not the best, although the rituals and therapists are incredible. Despite some hiccups re, I would recommend and would go again.

Exceptional service and incredible views

Santani was an incredible experience. The service was impeccable and the staff went out of their way to create bespoke menus for us and to look after us during the entire stay. Nothing was too much for them and they really have been trained exceptionally. All the rooms have wonderful views and allow you to soak in the nature and the unbeatable views. It is a great place to relax although not a fantastic base for sight seeing. We stayed for a few nights to break up the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots so it was perfect for us.

Amazing and unique Hotel

This hotel is simply amazing. The setting and views are incredible, rooms are very modern and minimalist in style. The Mountain View rooms are so worth it with lovely balconies for the amazing views. Restaurant is great all round and the spa is totally unique. If you want to unplug and chill out this is one of the most relaxing hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Just don’t waste your stay here by going off the resort!!! It’s not cheap, but is well worth the money for what you get and experience
