"Well run small hotel. The room was large, adequately equipped and the AC was fine. Dinner and breakfast in the cafe/restauarnt was very good - maybe the best ‘Sri Lanka Curry and rice’ I had during my touring holiday. All the staff were really friendly and happy to carry my bags up the couple of flight of stairs. All in all, a good hotel and would recommend "

"The Staff were extremely helpful. We got a pot of coffee and tea upon our arrival. The staff also gave us two umbrellas in case we go out in the city and it starts raining. On the day of the checkout, we requested some to-go breakfast and they happily complied. They packed us extra pair of sandwich and a cup full of fruits and some whole fruits as well. Could not have asked for more. Thank You Carnation Rest"

"Our host, Sanjaya, provided a warm welcome. Literally as he brought a portable heater into our room as the weather took a chilly turn. Great staff who could not have been more helpful with suggestions and with an umbrella! Breakfast was good too."
