We stayed just for a night as a stopover drive from arugam bay to Ahungalla. We had the family room which has two bedrooms, one with 2× double bed and the other 1x double bed. Had a fridge/freezer and a living room. No air conditioning but wasn't needed as the weather was already cold in nuwara Eliya. Breakfast included offered western (sausages, toasted bread and eggs)or srilankan food (dosa, sambal, eggs). Offered fruita and juice. Great location very high up on the mountain with a nice view...

Sunnyside bungalow was great. Fab service, comfortable bed and excellent location. Very short walk down the road into Ella. Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious!

Wow, what a place! Loved our room with patio and the views were just to die for. Great view of the Ella waterfall which you could hear from the property. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Lovely cup of tea on arrival and water whenever you need it. Breakfast was amazing and huge. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Ella as it was nice and peaceful and oh, did I mention those views!

Large spacious room and bathroom, great views, close to the centre and really helpful owner.

We stayed at the Poomaz Peace palace for 3 nights. The accommodation is within minutes of the main street and because of the close proximity you can hear the live music each night. However the music usually does stop by 23:00. The room was spacious and clean and offers a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, soap, towels and has a shared balcony where breakfast is served each morning. Property was brand new and very well maintained. The manager Melanie was awesome, available at all times and very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.

Fabulous overnight stay, very welcoming with a delicious breakfast (especially the juice). The property has an a amazing view overlooking the city with a wonderfull top deck.

Stayed here for one night after climbing Adam’s Peak and it was perfect for the rest and sleep that was needed. The property was clean, including the room which had a big, comfy bed and hot water. No ac needed as it got chilly in the evening, there was a warm duvet. Staff were extremely nice and friendly, making sure we were well attended do. We have been in Sri Lanka for over a week now and this hotel has been the best one we’ve stayed at. It is a bit of a walk from the city but can always get a very cheap tuk tuk. Extremely clean and very good breakfast. 10/10

Staff very helpful, not much to do or places to eat round about though

We stopped here on the way to Ella from Kandy and glad we did!! This is a small place but you wouldn’t know it! The rooms are very spacious and the hosts were amazing, one even tended to my partners ankle after she sprained it! The food is also amazing, chef on site with a wide menu of things to eat!

We arrived later in the evening but the staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, serving a delicious dinner. The hotel has wonderful views across the hills surrounding Kandy. A great secret hideaway.

Great little place just outside the city centre. Staff were brilliant and friendly
