Beautiful setting, very remote and high altitude. Weather was so much cooler than the south . Long trousers and Jumper recommended for evening and morning. Rain coat f you are doing hikes . We had a super time here , staff were outstanding and the level of detail was perfect. Hot water bottle in bed at night was so welcoming. Two nights to chill. Full board , all drinks , snacks all great with a lovely afternoon tea by the infinity pool.

The location of the hotel is incomparable. We loved the opportunity to stay in an historic building which has been lovingly restored. We were incredibly well looked after by everyone who works at the hotel and highly recommend this accommodation and the delicious food we ate.

We stayed for three nights in December. Apart from the fact that the rooms are amazing (we could have had a party for 30 in our room), the thing that really made it for us was the attitude of the staff. They were attentive and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Do try to fit in a tour of the tea plantations and waterfalls. The scenery will blow your mind!

+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. Lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy afternoon tea. The staff, especially Sameera, were absolutely excellent- they couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you again Sameera, we will hopefully see you again one day!
- Only slight negative is that it could have more photographs of the historical figures or building itself going up the...

We spoilt ourselves with 2 nights in Ahas Pokuna. This is a truly special place. Greeted at the road side by Arun our naturalist guide we were immediately enveloped in the forest following a footpath (truly the only access) leading us up the the very exclusive camp. We were the only guest and had the middle of three tent suites/tree houses. The beautifully maintained grounds of the camp are full of birds and the staff are always attentive. The food is excellent and plentiful. Arun was delightful...
