"The service was exceptional, also the food and cocktails. The place was really well decorated and looked elegant. Apart from one waiter at breakfast being a bit rude giving me the check without telling me no need to rush then saying goodbye to me in a kind of miserable way all staff delivered exceptional service. I would highly recommend it to people and will go back one day for sure."

"Wonderful stay in a magnificent historic building with friendly staff, fantastic views and great food. Our room had a view of the forest where we saw deer & rabbits wandering by. We had great food, both casual and formal dining. The location is truly buried in the forest, peaceful and great for walking. A true sanctuary get away."

"I was really pleased with the accommodation, and found it really nice. I was dropped off, so did not require the parking which was directly outside and free. "The bathroom was clean but extremely cold and rather small. We felt it needed updating, e.g the toilet seat was broken. The water was nice and hot though. Our room was very cold when we arrived, we gather one of the radiator valves had been broken by a previous guest. Once we had pointed it out Adrian came to fix it, but we felt it should have been warm and welcoming on our arrival. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was nice. If the house was full we imagine there would be a problem...
