"Staff was very nice"

"We had an issue at check-in that held us up for about 30 minutes. We were scheduled to arrive on July 17 and then check out on July 18 and coming back on July 23 and staying until July 25. When we arrived, the girl at the front desk told us that the July 17 date had been changed to July 16 and we were no-shows. I told her we never changed anything. We were not in town on July 16. We then called hotels.com and they confirmed that our reservation was in fact for July 17 but it took quite a long time for them to work it out which we kind of thought was upsetting. if you had another room available and I’m showing you a confirmed reservation receipt just give us the room and that’s it, but it seemed to take a very long time And we had someone waiting for us that had given us a ride. So we weren’t happy about that. And we had a reservation for five days later and we’ve stayed at this hotel several times when coming to visit our son."

"Our stay at the Blue Lantern was truly memorable! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had booked a room with an ocean view. Not only was the room available 2 hours before check in, we were given glasses of some very nice sparkling wine to start off our celebration. A couple hours later, we joined in the complimentary happy hour with wine and appetizers. We were expecting just some cheese and crackers, but the staff served platters of salad, fruit, veggies, the works, that would make a very nice light dinner for some. We were heading out to dinner shortly, but the light bites were just right to hold us over. After dinner and a pleasant walk around the lantern district around the inn, we returned to our room with a spacious balcony overlooking Dana Point harbor. We proceeded to enjoy the spectacular view accompanied by the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine we received as an upgrade. Before leaving the next day, we partook of the complimentary breakfast. Again, Blue Lantern exceeded our expectations with a very nice spread of eggs, bacon, yogurt, bagels, granola, fruit, along with some really good coffee. The friendly staff made sure the breakfast area was clean and the food well stocked. Thank you for a great stay, Blue Lantern! "

"Great! All staff are wonderful, pool and hot tub, kitchenette, room size, ocean view and location close to a lot of shopping, eating and various attractions. Very fun area! We had an awesome view of the fireworks for the 4th of July. We will be back. "
