Fabulous characterful farm house with a friendly welcome. Great facilities with guest lounge and easy parking. Very comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Rivals the best breakfast available in the country.

Wonderful inn, amazing food, gorgeous room. Everything spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff. The whole experience was magical. Breakfast was stunning. Cant write a single bad thing, because this place and people are just so perfect.

Great stay

We went to the hotel under difficult circumstances and were overwhelmed by the staff at the pub. Friendly, kind and could not help you enough. Fraser the manager has a slick run ship, supported by a wonderful team. Caroline in particular was just outstanding. She is a credit to the company. So much so that we have also booked to stay there New Year's Eve to lap up the atmosphere again. Myself and my partner stayed here on Saturday 27th February. The room was really nice, shame there was no WiFi.The picnic breakfast was great. The pub - The Bull was also very good. Tom was very welcoming and we had a great day there watching the rugby. Our evening meal was also very good, quality food and a great atmosphere. A really nice country pub with great staff and customers, we will definitely come back.

The staff were very friendly on check in. Room was very clean could have done with a chair. The mini fridge and breakfast basket in the room was a very pleasent surprise. Restaurant is not open most days anymore due to no chef. Pubs coffee shops and takeaways are very close to the hotel to get a meal.

We only stayed for the one night but we will definitely be returning. The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hastings Old Town is a great little place too.

Weather was great went to visit my grandchildren who live nearby pod was great could do with a good clean on outside and decking was abit wobbly would come again good price for what it was the bed really clean toilets and showers considering how many people on site

Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!

Enjoyable stay

Probably the most quirky place I have stayed, ( except Frog Manor in Cheshire which I think is now closed ) fab relaxed atmosphere, great English wines, the staff are very helpful 👍

I chose to stay here for two nights while I was visiting Glyndebourne. Carol and Ceri were so friendly and welcoming. They took such good care of me and made sure that I wanted for nothing. The room I was given was large and extremely comfortable with a private bathroom that overlooked the beautiful garden. Breakfast was always delicious and served in the conservatory. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Our stay at the Stables Courtyard rooms was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the wonderful staff in all areas of the property. The reception staff were very polite and friendly, and gave us all the information we needed for our stay and our wristbands for free entry to the Castle and grounds. A little dubious at first, hidden away behind a bar but couldn't have been more wrong. Met by Gemma who was very attentive and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. Actually this was true for all of the staff, all very friendly and attentive, The bar itself also great decorated and furnished to a high standard and very clean and tidy.
