A fabulous small boutique hotel 20 mins from city centre. Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic restaurant with stunning tasting menu experience and wine list. We can highly recommend as an alternative to the city centre option

Room 61 at the hotel is particularly charming, situated over two floors, and with its own secluded rear garden. It has a very 'homely' feel to it.
One evening, as we left our room to dine in the hotel restaurant, the door security latch fell off (I know it's not supposed too...). We placed it to one side, and I was going to report this the following day. To my surprise, the security latch had been replaced by the time we returned later that evening. How's that for efficient service...

When you travel a lot, sometimes your experiences tend to get lost in the fog of it all.... This trip was different for us - and it was entirely the fault of Yves and Valerie! While this was our fourth trip to Cape Town, it was the first time we felt like we were coming home. Carmichael is much better than just a guesthouse - it is a local home away from home. The facilities, the rooms and the breakfasts were of course outstanding. But rarely do you find such a warm and welcoming environment....

Excellent new boutique hotel set in an excellent location in Camps Bay.
Rooms are small but beautifully furnished.
You can tell the hotel has only been open since December as overall service is slow and the staff are still in the process of being trained.

Beautiful quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but just a short ride away by Uber. The staff are exceptional and extremely helpful - especially Joy who always greeted us in the morning with a huge smile. There is a great choice on offer for breakfast and the food is really good. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained.

A great stay at the Mount Nelson - exemplary service, wonderful afternoon tea with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Upgraded on arrival to a suite which got the holiday off to a great start.

I was delighted when I arrived at Ocean View House. Everything, from the drive in to the room and hotel facilities, was lovely and far exceeded my expectations. I was very sorry to be staying for only one night at the end of my 3 weeks in South Africa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome and special as one of their guests. The room was enormous with a large bed and comfortable lounge area - and there was a 2nd room too! Breakfast and lunch very good quality and...

Beautiful hotel in every way. The staff are the best I've ever known. Nothing is too much trouble and they all have a very friendly manner. The Concierge staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. The Hotel is perfect for ease of trips around the Cape and is only 5 mins walk from the V & A Waterfront. If I had to think of one thing that I was disappointed in, it was that the pool was very small. No good for swimming, more of a plunge pool but still very relaxing. Food was wonderful. This apartment was much better than we anticipated. Incredible views, lovely staff and service, and a great location. Only issue we had was there are no shops nearby so you have to uber (5 mins to Camps Bay or a 40 min walk ish) but it wasn’t really a problem as we stocked up and the kitchen is great!

We are a family of four. We stayed for seven nights. I must say it was the best Guesthouse that we have ever stayed.
The house is very nice, and the deco stunning, this continue to the rooms . We stayed at the family room on the top floor, which consisted in two double rooms, two bathrooms and a common sitting area with a table & chairs and a set of sofas.
The breakfast consisted of a good selection of cereals, a good variety of breads and rolls, cheeses, cold meats, yoghurts and several kinds...

South Africa may be known for diamonds and gold, as well as an abundance of natural wonders, but Cape Cadogan is a jewel of a hotel in Cape Town. It is a small hotel that delivers personalised 5 star service.
We were very pleased to have chosen Cape Cadogan rather than one of the big chain hotels near the Waterfront.
