"We had another great stay at the Grand Chancellor Hotel. I received a room upgrade, and everything was clean, comfortable, and well presented. Always a reliable and pleasant experience. "

"We booked for 2 adults & 1 child, but when we arrived, there was no 3rd bed, nor was there even 3 towels in the room on check in. When we spoke to reception about why there wasn't a third bed, I was told "we don't make assumptions." Not sure who expects 2 adults to sleep in the same bed of a 6 year old... The rollaway that was eventually delivered had a stained doona and no doona cover (we only discovered this after the second night - our son was in contact with the stains whilst sleeping). We had a few other 'minor' issues, just really took the polish of a wonderful Anzac Day weekend in Melbourne. Whilst the location is amazing for events at the MCG, the hotel is aged and in need of a facelift, and not worth the premium being charged."
