This hotel is so beautiful and has a really great history. I felt a bit nickel and dimed at check in (a fee to check in early, suggested upgrades that were also a fee). The upgrade wasn't worth it. The room was bigger but the bathroom was cramped. The tablet stand was broken and it kept falling over. The rooms may be remodeled it is outdated - there are no USB charging ports and the hotel does not have any plugs to borrow. There is no streaming option on the tv's. The mini bar (if you like that kind of thing) was broken and partly filled with empty plastic trays left on top of it. Concierge was lovely but F&B staff in Potter's were very aloof and seemed annoyed. There was a variety of events happening at the same time. Conference folks, formal events, families,tours, all happening in the same restaurant/lobby area.It was an awkward mashup (but great people watching).

Love Palmer House. The lounge area is gorgeous and spacious. Bedding was cozy and room size gear. The bathrooms are small and dated but clean. Location is perfect.

Beautiful lobby! Loved how close the hotel was to Millennium Park and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The room was clean, small, and cozy. Cleanliness was great but I noticed the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off quite a bit. Also, the walls are thin so we could hear everything next door. We would consider staying again!

I occasionally travel to Chicago for work and this is my second time staying at this hotel. The hotel is in s great location, where everything is within walking distance. The staff and service is great.

There was pee on the toilet seat upon checking in as well as a dirty pair of women’s underwear in the closet. The fridge did not work so we had to request a new one. The toilet in one of the bathrooms had a very hard time flushing most of the time.
