We had a lovely and serene stay - we wish we had stayed longer. The breakfast was v good - healthy and varied. The pool was v tranquil - thank you to the staff for asking the loud guest to stop taking FaceTimes at the pool.

This has to best hotel in Chiang Mai - great location, amazing facilities and wonderful staff.

This is a really amazing hotel in a good quiet location yet only 15 minute to night market and old town. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the place is immaculate. If you go to Chiang Mai stay there!!

This is an excellent hotel and also looks the part! The staff are pleasant and the rooms are big and spacious and beautifully fitted out. The breakfast is somewhat limited but as there are only 19 rooms you cannot expect a massive selection. It is located near the Night Bizzar so easy to walk in and out of town. So, many thanks to Joe and his Team for a most enjoyable stay. Give it a go...you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here for five nights as part of our honeymoon and just loved it. The East Borneo room was so luxurious and comfortable we were sad it wasn't our room at home! The whole feel of the place was just so tranquil and relaxing. On the subject of mosquitos, the staff do try to keep them at bay. I am bitten a lot everywhere I go but applied repellent each morning and early evening and didn't get one bite. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They made my stay very enjoyable. My only problem was that the mattress on the bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. Otherwise i rate the hotel as excellent.

Lovely room, great food, excellent service

This place was not cheap, but it was totally amazing - and well worth it for us. I would definitely stay again, and recommend it. We stayed for a special event they put on - a South African BBQ. This resort is in a quiet area, and the grounds are very peaceful & welcoming... The staff were polite, friendly & helpful, especially Pi in the restaurant (great sense of humor)... We treated ourselves to an hour long special in the spa, and came out floating on air.... Our stay here was outstanding, the staff were super friendly, Jake on reception helped us book a private taxi on the afternoon we arrived, he was knowledgeable about where we wanted to go & arranged everything for is very promptly. I’ve been to Thailand a few times and the Empress Hotel has to the best hotel I’ve stayed in for service. When I arrived I received a voucher for a free drink and a welcome gift as well as being upgraded and in my room fresh fruit, the staff were just excellent very polite, friendly and helpful, good choice of food at breakfast time, the pool area was good as was my room(1501) If I do come back to Chiang Mai again I will definitely stay at the Empress Hotel

Very comfortable, clean, safe and welcoming. Club lounge access well worth the money with good selection of food and drinks. The guest relationship manager was my favourite person ever. Wish we could be friends

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The room is large and extremely comfortable. The hotel offers lots of amenities including air conditioning, and a large beautiful bathroom. They also have a mini-fridge which is free to use as well as complimentary drinks daily. The staff are super polite, friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

An exceptional stay for those who value peace and quiet, enjoy their independence and are happy with large sprawling grounds.
