"My stay overall was enjoyable, but my checkout experience was disappointing. A representative told me I was “lucky” to have received my paid late checkout because “they don’t do that for people.” As a Latina guest, this comment felt insensitive and unprofessional. Words matter, and staff should be trained in customer service, sensitivity, and bias awareness. The manager apologized, but no resolution or reassurance was offered. This interaction negatively impacted my overall impression of the hotel."

"A meticulously-restored Victorian mansion, The Chelsea is a remnant of a bygone Atlantic City. Tucked in the midst of tacky casino towers, a stay here presents a wonderful, quiet alternative for the business or pleasure traveller to the smoke-filled noisy gambling resorts. Clean and comfortable with a friendly staff and very reasonable rates, both parking and a continental breakfast were included in my stay. For all my conference travel to AC going forward, I’ll look to The Chelsea."
