Check in wasn’t until 4, I got there at 1pm with my kids and was able to check in. They have a few things to do inside the hotel kid friendly. The walk to the beach is literally 1 minute

The beach view was unobstructed and the parking was fine. $12.50 a day. We have stayed here many times over the years and the rooms are clean, spacious and have an amazing view of the ocean.

I like that the staff was prompt in getting us into our room and checking us in before the check-in hours. They also checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and that the room was clean. We were very satisfied with all the help that even the security personnel gave us.

The beach views are breathtaking. The entire property could use an update. Everything is dated and as a result quite dingy looking. There are minimal staff around. The doors to get in and out the hotel are a nightmare! (they are always locked, so you need a key card to open them and to get out you have to press a red button and push with your entire body to get the door to open! (lol) Also, the parking garage spaces are extremely narrow. Overall it was safe and quiet. The best part was the arcade (although it would be nice if it were free), the pool (not filtered well) and the sundeck (with amazing views). While this wouldn't be my 1st choice, I'd stay again just for the views and the apartment style rooms with full kitchen.

Positives: Great beach access. Literally, less than a minute from the hotel. Views of the ocean and boardwalk were fantastic. Secure parking was beneficial. The room was spacious. While we didn’t use it the kitchenette would be good for families. There’s a wonderful restaurant across the street, Cardinal, which I would highly recommend. Negatives: The pool has the potential to be an asset; however, it needs to be cleaned. There were way too many broken chairs and the gazebo was random and out of place. The whole pool area needs to be power washed. The hotel needs to be better cleaned. It was all just a little dirty. Not sure if they are under staffed or if staff needs to be better directed, but this is a simple way to make the property more appealing. Finally, the staff was fine-front desk staff was helpful but everyone else, seemed annoyed to be there. The most unhappy and employee was the “chef” in the dumpy diner attached to the property. It’s supposed to be open from 6-6 (that’s what we were told). I went in at 7:55 AM and he said we don’t open until 8 unless I had cash. He said this while making an omelet on the grill. Don’t bother going. Just use DoorDash.

Hotel was chosen by price, so we had low expectations going into the stay. However, the quality of sleep we got was great, compared to many other hotels. It was quiet, and we were not disturbed over the 3 nights we spent there. I think we were the only people on our floor until the night before checkout. We would definitely stay again for a few night couple getaway!
