Central World boasts five hundred shops and one hundred restaurants and cafés, and it is extremely popular with both Thais and tourists. There are two anchor department stores as well as a trendy food court, a comprehensive supermarket and an outdoor square for large-scale events like Bangkok’s New Year Countdown Party. The floors of Central World Shopping Complex are separated into shop types; electrical shops are on one floor, clothing and fashion on another and so on. The top two floors are almost entirely dedicated to restaurants; Japanese, Thai and Chinese cuisine as well as some Western and fast food outlets such as McDonalds, Swenson’s and KFC are represented, among others.
There are plenty of lifts and escalators to keep the foot traffic flowing and the complex is quite well signed. Central World is a fantastic shopping complex and home to many of the shops that visitors to Bangkok favour such as Jim Thompson and Naraya and also some world favourites like Timberland, North Face and Adidas. Central World is well worth a visit for the ultimate shopping experience.
