Good sized room, beautiful bathroom, all was clean. There is a coffee maker in the room but you can get complementary coffee in the lobby in the morning.
The prices in the little shop are steep. But there’s also a 7/11 next door.
We would definitely stay again. Oh and we paid extra for city views which were stunning

Writing update in lobby January has proved to be a great time to see NYC and Kitano has proved to be a great place to stay very happy with all aspects but did not eat in ,too much choice close by.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. Room was spacious and clean and the staff were lovely. It would benefit from a hotel bar but we very much appreciated the bottle of wine!

Very impressed with our comfortable room which was exactly as described. Comfortable bed which is a must after a hard day's sightseeing and shopping and the room and bathroom were spotless
The hotel was very close to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway and major department stores and attractions.
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Overall a great stay, can't wait to come back and would definitely stay here again. 10/10

I had a really great stay here. From the moment we entered and received a warm and friendly welcome from Chris who was incredible throughout to the day of departure. It was amazing that Chris actually remembered our names because the hotel was full and also had celebrity guests (due to the US Open).
Room was a decent size, very roomy for New York and regularly cleaned.
Some previous guests have complained about the cost of eating at the hotel - it is expensive but certainly not extortionate...

We truly dropped lucky when we booked The Carnegie Hotel, our first time in New York.
On arrival we were greeted in a very friendly reception by Elijah and then by Alexandra who was a pleasure to chat to every day discussing all our adventures.
The afternoon wine was always fun and the complimentary tea, coffee and snacks were a nice touch.
The location is spot on. Central Park is less than 2 minutes walk, the subway is on the corner and Times Square is barely a 10 minute walk.

Such a great stay here. Right in midtown Manhattan in the heart of the action but at a really reasonable price. The room was small but immaculate. I requested a higher room with a view and the hotel did exactly that for us - the 21st floor with a beautiful view to wake up to. I would definitely recommend staying at CIVILIAN and I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and very quiet on the 14th floor. My only complaint is no mirror in the room. Only mirror was in the bathroom. I had to blow dry my hair whilst looking into a small vanity mirror propped up. I need a mirror to fix my hair in the morning, so do most ladies I imagine.

Nice hotel. Good location for Mid town.
The resort fee is ridiculous & just an extra charge disguised.
Room was nice & the hotel took into account my requests.
Staff very nice.
Breakfast fine

Amazing location and facilities. Staff are amazingly pleasant, polite and extremely helpful. Some refreshment of paint and decoration would be an advantage but great place to stay.

Best hotel I have stayed at in New York from the staff to the gym to the small details they really go above and beyond. It’s pricy but you really are getting a luxury modern experience.
