"We like the convenience of the hotel and the beds and rooms are nicely clean and the cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. However the reception staff are not that friendly and will ignore you unless you speak directly to them. I am unused to that in a hotel reception. It would be good if they were more welcoming and proactively pleasant. And although the breakfast is included it is just cereal and breads. The full breakfast is a bit of a disappointment and I recommend going elsewhere."

"The place is super central. The room could use a bit of a refresh. The bed was comfy enough. The continental breakfast didn’t have much variety. Sanjeewa’s service was amazing."

"The room was large with a really nice en-suite with a bath and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful providing extras that we needed in our room. Really comfortable bed and a fan provided in the room too. Brilliant value for money ."
Canterbury Cathedral Lodge

"I can not recommend this spot enough- first of all, every staff member is so warm and congenial. The room is beautiful, and the complimentary breakfast is table service (mind blowing to my American standards!). Being right in the Cathedral grounds puts you in the midst of everything but yet in a nice quiet oasis. Would come back just to stay here again."

"A great location in Canterbury. Right next to the cathedral. Clean, well organised room. Full room service each day. Lovely breakfast. Cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants and toast and jam. Bottled water available for guests to take for day trips etc. Great for the hot weather. Staff were very helpful, polite and professional. Highly recommend"

"A very old building but clean and the staff were very helpful. I had a fall while staying (not in the hotel) and Sandra on reception was very concerned and assisted with ice for my bruises and also fetched my bags down on our departure date. Would go there again but request a slightly bigger room. Ours was a little small for two adults trying to get ready to go out!"
