The B&B is located a few minutes from Canterbury East train station and is also close to the centre of town. The room was well-furnished with fresh water in a jug (with lemon!), kettle, TV and a hairdryer. All the nice touches added up! The host, Terry, was very warm and a good conversationalist. He gave me a map when I arrived and explained how to get into town to start exploring. There were also good options for breakfast. 10/10 - would stay again!

The property far exceeded our expectations, clean, tidy and warm, it is located in a quiet location on the grounds away from the main house any you feel like your totally self contained. The owner lets you be, and sent just a couple of courteous emails in case we wanted things like change of towels. the property is only about 7min drive to the centre of Canterbury.

It was the first visit to Canterbury for my friend and myself . The Cathedral Lodge was so lovely. The staff were super helpful, the hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. It was quite novel to be let i and out of the main gate by police but at least you felt secure. We also went on a punt trip up the river Stour. Great breakfast

A lovely place, great location perfect for a city break. Was happy to see that breakfast, tea and coffee was all taken care of along with all the things you need to cater for the promised 7 people. Made special by the Xmas decorations. Extra thanks to Tom for his help on our departure

We interacted with many staff and all were always utterly and consistently professional and lovely. The building is wonderfully historical in architecture and construction. The modern elements are subtle and executed perfectly for example some choice carpeting. The rooms feel the most contemporary but very comfortably neutral in style. Great hotel for those thinking of staying in Canterbury. Only 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Room was quiet, staff were very good. Ate in on all three evenings, and had some really nice food, even a carvery on one evening. Breakfast choices were also excellent.

The room 4 dates back centuries but has been well modernised. The air con unit was a real bonus. Small bathroom space but good shower. The hotel is well placed for access to the city (15 minutes walk) . Good value for money sadly breakfast was not offered but there is a van on site and many options in the city

Staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very diligent with regard to Covid-10. We found Eva to be particularly helpful and friendly. Would very much recommend hotel, staff and locality.

Can’t fault our stay. Warm welcome at check in, very quick and easy to find our accommodation. Suite was bright, thoughtfully decorated and very very clean. All the information we needed about the hotel and services was either communicated directly or left in the room for us to read. Complimentary hot drinks, warm room and comfortable bed. The Dog was fabulous, the staff were all very friendly. Needed a drink as soon as I arrived so had a lovely glass of bubbles sitting by the fire, very civilized! The bedroom had such a sumptuous bed and very tasteful decor as had the whole pub. I would definitely return as long as the price stayed similar. Didn't eat there as they had a tasting menu but the local Indian was recommended which was fab.

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Castle House. Very pleased with our room and the B&B's location. Would definitely recommend it.i If I would have any gripe - and it's just a small one - it is with the breakfast menu options eg basic breakfast cereals on offer , one type of milk, And the cooked breakfast was average.

The staff were fantastic very helpful and lovely to talk too and the room was beyond what I was expecting, beautifully clean lovely and warm the toilets were always clean and the shower was a walk in we absolutely enjoyed I stay and hopefully will be back next year. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel very welcomed.

A property with warmth and character. Beautiful room, bathroom was pleasant but could do with a little attention as felt well used however all was in working order. Check-in was smooth. Jon was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. Breakfast was fine and enjoyed by all. We really enjoyed pur stay. Sadly didnt have time to explore the area but seemed a lovely area too. We would stay again and would recommend the Grove Ferry Inn.
