Excellent stay here again. Staff attentive and beds and rooms nice and comfortable. Only thing I’d note is that the restaurant menu was far more extensive during my stay this time last year so there isn’t as much choice now with only one veggie option for each course. Food was still very good though.

We stayed here for one night as a birthday getaway at the end of October. It's really easy to get here and find the hotel, well signposted, and there is plenty of parking. Coming into the hotel we were greeted by a crackling fire and a warm reception area and check-in was friendly and quick. We were taken to our room. We had a superior king room which was beautifully decorated, very elegant and comfortable. The bed is enormous and nicely dressed with cushions and a tartan throw. The bathroom had a huge shower and lovely Arran toiletries and lovely thick fluffy white towels. We had tea and coffee and some delicious homemade shortbread and even the crockery in the room was carefully chosen. There's no fridge in case you want to bring anything that needs to be kept cold. The hotel bar is really elegant and serves a large variety of drinks, cocktails, whisky and gin (staying largely loyal to Scottish gins) and the Curing Yard restaurant served us the most delicious meal of seafood soup and mussels and lamb and beef, locally sourced. The menu is excellent and it was difficult to choose what to have. There's plenty of choice for vegetarians too. In the morning at breakfast time we were welcomed to a huge choice of buffet items (cereals, fruit, pastries, yoghurt) and then a great choice of cooked breakfast too. The vegetarian haggis is really tasty! The service is excellent, really friendly and attentive. We are already really looking forward to going back.

Stayed at this 4 star hotel having stayed at one in Inverness. Supposedly both 4 stars but Royal Marine was on a different level!! Food was great, staff were helpful and friendly. Management were visible and saw the Manager trying to help guests on future reservations due to weather conditions making it difficult for their onward travel. Reception gave recommendations for attractions in the local areas. It represented excellent value and would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has excellent facilities. The rooms are modern and tasteful, well finished with Arran Aromatics toiletries. Best breakfasts ever served by very pleasant staff. Dinners also top notch.A well stocked bar with knowledgable bar staff. Very dog friendly and all located by the beach and golf course in the charming town of Brora.

The suite we booked was a 'Superior Suite, 1 King bed, Garden View, yet was at the very rear of the hotel overlooking a scrappy piece of land, comprising rough hard core, a scrubby patch of grass, with builders skip, shipping container and a small mock train. Management were unable to offer an alternative, so we rejected the room and found elsewhere to stop. This caused considerable inconvenience as we had already driven five hours and had another hour to find an alternative - especially difficult as check-in time was 4pm at the RMH. I have already sent two messages to your company regarding this and expect no charges to fall to me, in accordance with legislation on goods and services, as the accommodation was not as described

Great stay
We had a lovely couple of days in Brora. The hotel is beautifully situated near the beach. It was freshly refurbed and in excellent condition. The room was a great size and the bed very comfortable. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. The only slight niggle was the servers, who were all very friendly overlooking things like removing used plates, filling up water glasses and keeping the breakfast buffet stocked up. The hotel was busy and I guess the staff were a bit harassed, maybe an extra pair of hands required? Overall an excellent experience, hope to be back.

Very lovely hotel! at first it seems a bit old a frail but the staff with their warm welcome from Linda shares the history The rooms are updated and the bed and pillows are wonderful… we enjoyed a fine dinner thanks to Emma And wonderful Scottish Breakfast… we are sad to only have one night as we move on in the highland

Lovely hotel with great decor and comfortable furnishings - refreshing to find this amid the the dreary type of scottish hotel still being offered to tourists. Staff friendly, manager very visible and hands on support for guests and staff. Food great. Young waiter even offered to make us stronger coffee for breakfast 👍

It is a beautifully decorated arts and crafts house with easy access to a beautiful beach. Brora is tiny but there are a few interesting gift shops. I would recommend room 1 with a view of the garden at the front.

A warm heart
Don't be put off by the rather unexciting outside, inside this is a lovely hotel with clean, comfortable rooms with really stylish fittings and bathrooms. The food was excellent and the staff great. And watch out for the very Scottish morning walk up.... And 2 mins walk from a most amazing beach.

Beds too small, not a double!
Hotel was initially impressive, standing overlooking the harbour. Warm welcome, and a small, compact room. However, when we looked more closely at the bed realised that it was tiny, certainly not a ‘double’ as we would know it. Hotel later confirmed it’s a ‘European’ double. No other rooms available so no upgrade. Not happy with description on website. Also, at 5am the night porter was out at the coal pile with a shovel getting supplies in for the day. At 5am!! Told receptionist, who promised to deal with it, but the same thing happened the following morning. Not on our 3rd morning, but apparently it was a different night porter. Maybe one with a brain? Would we stay again? Probably not, as the size of the bed was a real issue.

Hotel is in a great location, staff friendly and helpful but could do with more than one member of staff on the bar on a Friday night as it was busy. But that is only a small issue, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
