"Ban tai was beautiful! The villa was very up-to-date and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The only negative is that they do not accept credit cards for check-in, despite it being listed on hotels.com as an option. Management claimed it’s because they have issues with physically using credit cards which seems incredibly odd for a luxe villa. The management wanted to hold 10,000 baht in cash during the stay, which is absurdly high compared to other stays in the area. "

"Where to we start. Stay away at all cost. Upon arrival the one of the staff were picking her feet on the desk. We had the keys threw at us. To open the door on room there was a padlock on the outside this meant that you could not lock the whilst you are inside. On entering the room we were overpowered by the smell of urine and seemed to some rodent activity. The wardroab doors had been chewed and there were dropping in the bathroom and inside the wardrobe. "When we arrived to the island, we took a taxi to the GPS location according to Hotels.com map. The pin was innaccurate, and 6 of us were stranded on another part of the island, 45 minutes away. Only due to a nice local Thai man, did we get a new taxi and find the villa. The villa in the photo shows a beach - we had no beach.
