"I absolutely fell in love with this property it was so beautiful from the moment we drove up the hill to see this gorgeous house at the top. The yard and garden was a surprise. I love this town! My son went to school there and he graduated during Covid but I still keep coming. People are so kind, excellent food including a top chef at Alchemy who's food makes me salivate for more and miss the restaurant when I come home.

Loved our visit. It is helpful to know that some of the stores and restaurants are closed on Monday because the theaters are dark. Many of the shops do not open until 10 or 11 and close by 5. There are easy hiking trails just off the park.

Prepare to park & walk, hills are part of the experience but the Lithia Park walk is accessible, and several handicapped parking spaces + drop-offs are provided. Loved OSF, will come back again, but not in summer heat!

This is the home of the Oregon Shakespeare festival. I have been coming there since the 1970s and it is probably the best theater in the country. Except of course for Broadway. there is nothing like Ashland.

"Great dog friendly hotel walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Somewhat dated but room was clean and bed was comfortable. We’d stay here again! "
"Over the years traveling between the PNW and California, I’ve passed the Callahan’s Mountain Lodge sign more times than I can count—without realizing just how special this place is. Tucked at the base of Mt. Ashland and right at the crossroads of the Pacific Crest Trail, it’s a location that invites you to slow down. The lodge shows its history in places, but what it offers in charm, warmth, and a true sense of relaxation more than makes up for it. The setting, the people, and the peaceful atmosphere were exactly what we needed ahead of the SOB trail race. A great stay in a one-of-a-kind spot."
"Everything was excellent except that the staff at breakfast was a little aggressive about food vouchers for hot food. Yes, the resort charges $18 per person if you want hot breakfast that includes eggs, like boiled or scrambled, and bacon. Otherwise you get just the cold breakfast that includes yogurt, cereal, toast, fruits, juice and coffee or tea. "
