I have walked by the Ashland Springs Hotel several times and this is the first time I stay there. The hotel is old, but thoroughly modernized, while still maintaining its old charm. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. We had a king size bed in a room with a view of the street and a fully stocked bathroom. The thermostat worked great and we were very comfortable. The room has everything you'd expect: soap, shampoo, plenty of towels of all sizes, ironing board, coffee, fridge, large flat screen TV, prone charging stations... everything! For the city of Ashland, you can't beat the location. It is within walking distance of the best dining and the best entertainment in town. Yes, you can get in your car and drive to other local attractions, but you don't have to. We didn't... The hotel offers hot breakfast (eggs, potatoes, toast, cereal, pastries, coffee, tea, juice) and that is a very welcome bonus. the breakfast sitting area, around the balcony is very pleasant. I highly recommend this as one of the best options in town.
