Clean and comfy and QUIET. The bed was great. The microwave was older but worked great. Fridge was new. The property is a bit drab on the outside but the interiors were modern and well kept. Not a lot of frills but a good value for sure.

The room itself was cute and clean. The outside and the AC unit were a little dated but worked well. I did really miss having an ice machine but it was clearly stated that was not an offered amenity so it was not a surprise. The staff was wonderful and the description was informative and accurate. A great overall experience.

Rooms are clean and have window ac units. Bathroom is a decent size and shower is amply large. Free parking available. No housekeeping offered for first four days and rarely is anyone in the office. On our last day, someone knocked on the door and asked us if we needed housekeeping, but we were leaving the next day so that wasn’t helpful. Desk area is useful and there is an extension cord with multiple outlets by the desk.

Sweet, straightforward remodel of the roadside motels of childhood. Parking lot pool was clean and cool, laundry room for guests a plus for us campers, beds cushy and shower roomy and hot! Close enough to Shakespeare to walk and the brunch spot next door seems like a destination in town!

This is a very "basic" place to stay, which is how it is offered. That's OK. My complaints are that the bed was fairly used - one is in a kind of trough in the sleeping position - and the bedding, while clean, was plastic-feeling and the lower fitted sheet tended to pop off the mattress. I didn't like waking up with part of me on the mattress pad in a motel, if you know what I mean. But if you are less-picky, this is one of the few less-expensive places to stay around Ashland, the desk help is friendly, and you will be in walking distance to a great breakfast restaurant (Morning Glory Cafe).

Great location near the SOU campus featuring clean, convenient accommodations, helpful staff, and a few minor quirks. The rooms are spotless, the pool is great, and having laundry facilities is very convenient. However, the A/C is loud, the bathroom layout is quite tight, and the shower needs better lighting. Note that there is no ice machine or water refilling station, and the advertised "garden" is just a basic grassy area with trees which has a potential to become a peaceful garden for guests to use. Location-wise, it is tough to beat—right next door to The Morning Glory Cafe (Thursday–Monday) and just a short drive from local restaurants, Safeway, the Ashland Co-Op and downtown.

This was my sixth motel stay in seven days of road tripping and it was a delightful surprise. The exterior is quite modest - sort of a dated Route 66 vibe - but my room was bright and modern, with bamboo floors and a beautiful stone-tiled shower. It was 98 degrees in Ashland but the small AC unit performed extremely well and the room was cool and very comfortable. All the amenities I needed (microwave, fridge and especially blow dryer) were there. Of all my motel stays on this trip, including at some of the big-name chains, I had the very best night's sleep at the Ashland Inn. Would definitely stay here again!

Nicest shower in a budget friendly motel I’ve ever experienced! I had a great stay: texts from motel staff before and after check in, easy check in, friendly staff, clean room, nice bed with actual comforter, furniture and room didn’t feel sterile. Don’t let the exterior fool you, the rooms are nice. Highly recommend!

This was the second time visiting this property and it was breathtaking the location the was convenient and there were so many options near downtown Ashland for food. We also enjoyed the pool area and it was very clean and kept well. I appreciate the owners opening up their doors for us. Hope to visit again in the future.
